Runners

It's a beautiful day here in Central Illinois!  We'll be spending a portion of it at a Jr. High Track Meet.  Which made me wonder which Klopfenstein runners have big race plans this summer.  I think Jen is running the Illinois Marathon today in Champaign.  Anyone else have upcoming races we can cheer for?  Or just recreational/daily running plans?  I'd love to hear them.

Have to post a picture too - it's from a cell phone, so not the best quality.  This is my oldest at a track meet earlier this spring.  His relay teams are doing great this year.  (His 4x200 set a new school record last week!)

Good-looking young man!! He looks about 18 or 19 in this picture!!

No official races here - just me starting back to the gym to get on an elliptical and leg press, hopefully eventually on the treadmill, to get in better condition for a trip to China this summer.

Hope Jen did well today and that your boys did well in their track meet!

Marathon #6 is in the books. It was a rough race due to the temperature being much higher than what we trained in, but a finish is a win. My dad also finished his first marathon today despite the heat. Next up is a 5k for Dad, Mom, Ethne, and me on May 18. It's the same fundraiser we did last year. If you want to sponser us, here's the link: http://www.promisewalk.org/pfpw/participantpage.asp?fundid=4838&uid=15521

I became exhausted just reading of the running escapades! Unbelievable accomplishments (school records, completed marathons, elliptical machines, 5k's, etc.) Congrats, especially to Tim, for his first marathon and to Ann for planning a trip to China!

Dad could probably share about Harry Hill's instruction on baton passing.

Isn't it about time for another K5K? : )

Awesome job! Hey Shelley - One of the track coaches is on my team at work - Bryn Holevoet. Said Will really contributed to the team winning state!
