Will's Drawing

Will worked all summer on this drawing. It reminds me of Marty's drawings at that age. A budding artist!

Looks like Will is going to be a botanist as well as an artist--great combination and nice going, Will.

I thought it was a snake. Which science teacher is right??? Either way, it's very, very detailed and good!!

I thought it was a slice of a tree at first, but upon closer inspection, I thought it was snake. We surely are a family of artists. I used to love to draw when I was Will's age, and still have many of my drawings. I can still draw now, if I try, but do not do it much. I do not paint well. Pencil drawings only. If I can get around to it, I will scan some and post them. Good job, Will!!

I'll agree it could be a snake or just an abstract design. Great detail. Has he had any art lessons yet?

Well, it's neither a snake nor a tree... it's a 'circular art piece made up of various geometric shapes.' They started working on them in art class at the end of last year, and he brought it home to complete over the summer. We bought a frame for it this week and hung it on his wall. He's pretty excited about it!

Angela, would like to see your drawings also. Mary Lee's best area of art is also drawing - maybe I'll scan some of her stuff from last year in also. I know she'll do well in elementary ed (she just changed her major), but part of me hated to see her leave art as she was really coming along in it.

Guess there's a good bit of drawing talent throughout the EJK family!
