Zac's Graduation

Zachary graduated from the Eighth Grade at Downer's Grove Christian School last Thursday evening. It was a class of about 18 (don't have the list to see for sure) graduates - all dressed "to the hilt". They were all so cute and excited.

It was quite impressive and very touching as each set of parents read a letter to their son or daughter - memories of them growing up as well words of encouragement for the future and perhaps most importantly reminding them to keep the Lord in their hearts.

This is Zac with Grandma and Grandpa. Doesn't he look great in his new suit. Can't believe he's taller than both of us; at Christmas we still had him beat!

Zac and his proud parents and brothers.

Zac with his Aunt Angela and cousins Kelsie and Nathan.

Many of the students were wearing purple ties - the color of Downers Grove North where some of them will be attending high school. We wish them much success during their high school years. God Bless you, Zac - we love you.

I hope Jason and Janice are prepared - they are going to BLINK and the next four years will also be gone - Congratulations to the graduate~! Good-looking young man in that suit! As is the rest of the family, both immediate and extended!

Congratulations to the graduate, the parents and the grandparents! You all look great and the photos will be bigtime keepers as the years go by! Keep a book on the events and in a few years it will be significant history!

We love you all!!!

Your comment "all dressed 'to the hilt'" reminded me of my first years of teaching in Morton. For 8th grade graduation the boys and their parents all decided it would be cheaper to rent tuxes than to buy a suit they would never wear again so I showed up that night and the boys all had on light blue tuxes. It was funny.

Congrats to Zac!
