Glorifying God in death (John 21:19)

I just thought I'd share what was on the front pages of the Peoria Journal Star and the Pantagraph this morning. Stories about two different deaths where God is glorified through the faith, acceptance, and forgiveness of the people involved. The last link is a video of Joyce Hodel being interviewed by WMBD TV.

Very touching - particularly the video.

I was with my dear friend at the hospital about 10 years ago when the dr. came out to tell her that her husband had died--a totally unexpected massive heart attack. The grief in the room was overwhelming, but it was not the grief of those who have no hope. I came away from that experience realizing that one of the best reasons for living faithfully for the Lord as Christians throughout our lives, is that when tragedy does come - you don't have to find God; He's already there.
