Tornadoes in the South

Once again tornadoes were headed straight toward us and, thanks to the Lord, we were spared. We were glued to the TV to watch the progress of the storm and, armed with a windup radio and windup flashlight, were ready to head for our walk-in closet.
The storm then traveled to Atlanta and South Carolina, Mark and Ann areas. At 9:00PM Ann called that she and Mary Lee were sitting in the dark and without TV had no idea of what danger they were in. So we watched the weather channel to alert her if necessary. Thankfully, it wasn't. Tomorrow's weather is expected to be beautiful for Easter Sunday. Then possible storms again the next day! Incidentally, after a three year drought (but not nearly as severe as that in Ann's area) Alabama is for now considered to be drought free.
Hope you all have a blessed Easter. Medlens will be in Birmingham with Lindsay and Johnathon (yes, the "h" is in his name). So for one holiday Mary and Joey won't be having the twenty or so Medlens plus Lynn and me!

You mean Lynn stayed in the house with you instead of walking around the yard to watch for the tornado?hmmm!

Seriously, I'm thankful you were all spared from personal and property damage. There were many who were not so fortunate. I knew Ann was having stormy weather as we got cut-off as we were IMing.

We also have a beautiful, sunny day today - expecting temps in the 60's. Yeahhh!! Going to meet Jerry's nephew and fiance at 11 for brunch.

We lost power for 24 hours and phone and internet for 36. Just got it back this morning - and you can see where I immediately headed! Still don't have cable back. We think a microburst or small tornado touched down about 1/4 mile from here - trees down and a trampoline folded up like a dead spider. Our road was blocked until some men got a huge tree out of the way. Friday night was rough, but yesterday and today are beautiful.
