Do I have a twin out there?
I was recently contacted on Facebook by a gal from Silverton, OR. Her maiden name was Crystal Marie Klopfenstein - my exact name, including middle name! I never thought I would meet someone with my first name, let alone middle name. She was born in 1985 and doesn't appear to have recent Apostolic connections. Does anyone know any other Klopfenstein's in the Oregon area?

I knew a guy in college who knew of a shoe store there by the name of Klopfenstein's. However, come to think about it, it might have been in Washington state. Can't remember if it was Washington or Oregon. That was a long time ago!
Our oldest has someone with her exact name and birth date, and is from the same city! And they used the same bank for years! It was a wonder there wasn't more confusion with it.
I don't know where she belongs, but when I was a little girl, my parents would take us children along when they would go visit an older couple named Reuben & Bertha Klopfenstein who lived near Silverton. I was so amazed to meet their son at the WorldWide Klopfenstein reunion last summer. Crystal, you ought to go to Oregon and look up the other Crystal Marie. I'm confident she is related to our church people out there. Ann Kuenzie, who is married to Terry, has the maiden name Klopfenstein. I think they have a son who married one of Joan's good friends and I just talked to their daughter Kelsie who was in Portland church Sunday. It's a small world sometimes.
Klopfenstein genealogy shows a large number of Klopfenstein's in the Silverton, OR area. The family emigrated from Northern Indiana many years ago. I obtained the phone number of Walter Klopfenstein and called him. He was friendly and told me that his first cousin, Bruce, has a daughter named Crystal. Unfortunately, her name was not in my file; however, I am now challenged to trace this line. If you're interested in more details let me know: LynnK1905@Charter.net
