THE WAY WE WERE

Here are some pictures I found in the scrapbook our kids made for us for our 25th anniversary. I enjoyed looking through the scrapbook - got a little lump in my throat!

Can you identify the people in the pictures, give location/event, and approximate date? I have a
few more coming. Aren't you proud of me for scanning these old pictures and getting them into the blog. I will try again to see if I can get the print in the right place!

The bottom picture looks as if it may have been the setting for one of those now famous Klofenstein eating contests.

Interesting pictures, Aunt Ada.

I was hoping others would take a guess, but I'll now identify the bottom picture: Cleve, Marty, Gloria, Ada eating lunch in Gloria's backyard up in the rear yard of the house across from Verena Kuerth's -- across the ally from the Homeplace. I remember that day well - great tunafish sandwiches. And, the poor neighborhood boy lurking in the background and looking thru the fence is Charlie Nehrt -- he was sort of an outcast. I hope we weren't ostracizing him, but it is obvious by the look on his face that he wasn't invited. This was 1954?

Top picture: A great picture of Aunts Alice and Ada. Don't know the year but do know that we're all getting very familiar with the couch and afghan.

P.S. the previous "comment" was mine also.
