DC trip

Since there is a request for blog entries, here goes.
Last Saturday at this time fifteen teenagers and seventeen teachers, parents and others were returning from a four day trip to Washington, DC on a Christian Tours bus. The weather was perfect and before we ever got back to LCCS (Lawrence County Christian School) some were wondering if another trip was planned because they wanted to join in. We saw about as much as possible on the two days actually in DC. Lynn and I had been in DC when Ralph and Catherine gave us a great personal tour years ago. Since then several war memorials have been added as well as the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum. There we saw an actual Concorde and the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the atom bomb on Hiroshima. The first day Lynn and I kept up with the best of them, but the next day we realized that we were no longer young. Oh, yes, the group also had a picture made with our Representative, Bud Cramer. He's a Blue-dog Democrat, so we appreciate him most of the time because he sticks up for many of our values! I just asked Lynn what he wanted to add and this is it: "A good time was had by all!"

Sounds like you had a great trip with a good group of young people. We'd like to go there again. We haven't been there our children were adolescents.
