Keith and I moved to Parkside Retirement Community on Jan. 26, 2015.
It doesn't seem possible it is already a year.
We have a very nice apartment with an atttached garage and our own laundry.
They serve 3 meals a week - and we have to eat 4 a month. The food is very good.
Keith is doing well. He helps me with everything. We walk quite a bit in the long halls.
There are about 40 units here. Right now there are several for sale.
We like it here but at times we still miss our old home on Fernwood.
Love, Alice

It wouldn't be right if you didn't miss your "honeymoon" house a little bit. But it's nice to know you are settled and doing well in your new place. And good to see you on the blog! Much love to you both!
Congratulations! Sounds like you made a sound adjustment. Moving is not easy; however, when the adjustments are made, the turn-around quickly gets into the "moving forward" mode!
It sounds like a nice situation to have long halls for exercise and good food available! Change is difficult (I know it is for me), but you've been able to adjust and are enjoying the benefits. Thanks for the post! Love, Carol
It sounds as if you have a wonderful situation, and I agree with NogBlog that it's nice to see you here on the blog!
I'm glad you have adjusted to your new home, but understand that you miss your Fernwood home. Are you anxious for the cold weather to go away and the warm Spring to begin? Then you will be able to walk outside. I know I'm ready for warmer weather but it's likely we will have more in February and March. Kinda wish we were still in Florida. Perhaps we can meet up at Busy Corner when it's nicer.
Love you both
Ada and Jerry
