We have a talented musician in the family!

Not everyone may know, but Perry II is quite a talented musician.  I was able to be on the team that travelled to Jamaica several years ago with our church.  Not only was he one of the team leaders, but he was also our song leader during worship.  Below is a link to You Tube to hear a very beautiful song he wrote as a tribute to a woman the each team visit in a nearby nursing home.

Tribute to Miss Harriet at the Manchester Infirmary

1. though I know your life here was troubled, burdened with sorrow and pain
many times attacked by the devil, you were no stranger to the rain,...
but Jesus was always your shelter, your tower of refuge and strength
and I am so humbled when I think of you and your unshakable faith
and I'll always remember the promise we made in the infirmary where you laid

2. Oh, I cannot imagine the struggle, lying there day after day
but I know you were just getting ready, resting up for that glorious race
and I'm longing to meet you up yonder, I'm getting closer with each passing day
earth has no sorrow that heaven won't heal when we see our Lord face to face
and I'll never forget that sweet promise we made in the infirmary where you laid

3. Oh, dear Jesus now that she's departed and dwelling in glory with thee
may we all remain strong and glad hearted as we think upon those golden streets
let us run now the race set before us, no matter what comes our way
may we not crave earthly treasures below, but long for what comes after the grave
and never forget that sweet promise we made, but remember it all of our days.....

bridge: eye hath not seen, ear hath not heard, nor has it entered our heart
the glory and majesty awaiting us there, a thousand years is only the start

chorus: I will run a race with you, some glad day in heaven above
down those streets of gold we'll fly when our work on earth is done
no more sorrow or sadness or suffering, no more pain and longing for home
we will dwell in the light of our Savior who died to give us life and peace and hope

ending: and there's no place I'd rather go than to race on the streets of gold

Bo is also highly talented with carpenter skills, as most of us know. Not totally, but I'm thinking much of that was inherited on his mother's side of the family.

Interesting and inspirational! Wish we could see the DVD or an audio version.

Cleve, the K's have musical talent. Several of our children are quite musical and they sure didn't get it from their mother!

Perry II is also a boat builder. As is Drake, if I remember correctly.

Aunt Mim, my reference was to Perry II's carpentry skills -- from his Grandpa Miller who was an accomplished career carpenter.
Yes, the K's surely do have musical talent but it bypassed me.
