I don't think I've ever seen this photo. Where did you get it? It must be my mom and my sister, Marlise, but it hardly looks like my dad---who else could it be? Carol
It probably isn't fair for me to identify them. I should have let others guess. I will say that the year is 1951 judging by how old Marlise looks. So I will say it is Pearl, Robert & Marlise Miller in 1951. ----Carol
Carol, I'm glad you did set us in the right direction. I thought the woman had a familiar look and I can see Pearl now that you said it. The mystery will still be if that is your dad.
Well now that the people have been identified doesn't Marlise kind of look like Heidi's picture in Carol's post of the trip to OR? Maybe it's because the first picture is a bit blurry. . .
The little girl does indeed look like little Heidi. The picture is definitely of Pearl and Bob and with Carol not sure child's identity(or the year), I'm suggesting that it might be Carol herself! I was given this photo by a remote friend who knows it is Bob and Pearl, but has no idea of the place, time, or the name of the child. I'm thinking it is Carol. Perhaps her siblings would know.....
The little girl is definitely Marlise and the other two are Bob and Pearl. I sent the photo to my mom who confirmed it. Marlise was 2 1/2 when Linda was born and since Mom is not pregnant looking at all---the year was either 1950 or maybe even 1949 when Marlise would have turned 1 in August. It looks like a warm time of year since they are standing outside without coats. Maybe it was in the spring of 1950.----Carol
I've enjoyed this "chain" of comments and glad to finally have the mystery solved. It is certainly a dear picture and shows just how the years change one's looks!
Well I'm glad to know it is Robert Miller, since Pearl had her arm around him! I'm also curious (nosey?) to know what is the forthcoming nice prize that Carol has earned.
I was going to guess right away that it was Bob, Pearl, and Carol in the year 1957. I was so sure I was right that I decided to wait and not be so show offy. LOL!!!
Cathy would have been close, but wrong with the date and the child's name. The cherished prize for Carol is a HUGE "THANK YOU" for making the final determination and for her diligence in her investigating.
We can now rest easy, knowing that the child is her sister Marlise. Cleve
