Dad's Little Adventure

Saturday morning at 3:00 a.m. our phone rang - Dad was having chest pain and could we please take him to the hospital. There they did an EKG which had some abnormalities, and his pulse was very erratic, so they did further testing (echocardiogram and stress test) and kept him there overnight, until this afternoon. So he was there about 36 hours total. Bottom line: Not a heart attack and not a problem caused by cholesterol or blood clots, but rather an electrical problem which can be controlled with medicine. He and Mom got home around 2:00. We are very thankful that it did not turn out to be a major problem.

What a frightening late night call...but thankful for a good report. Hopefully you will feel better than ever, Uncle Lynn, with the proper medication on board.

Thanks for the post, Ann. Lynn - so glad you're ok and will be able to control the condition with medication. Also glad you called to let us know you were in the hospital and we could pray for you.

So thankful to hear everything turned out good and Uncle Lynn's problem can be treated with medication. A trip to the ER in the middle of the night can seem surreal and indeed frightening!
