Sorry the last picture is sideways - you'll just have to tilt your head to view it. I think the Who will be easy, but the What, When, and Where may be a little more challenging.

The last one is Jason and Uncle Ralph under the pavillion next to the pool down the street from our house in Minonk. The event was a 5K on the 4th of July. The year was probably around 1980?
On the middle shot, Gloria's guess was that Patty Roth was the dressed up gal in heels facing the other direction from Ada, who is in the old-fashioned dress on the left. She could not recognize the others. I thought that it looks like Cleve in the background on the left, and maybe Grandma Slagell way off to the left edge, with maybe Stan in front of her. It must have been a parade in Gridley, but I have no idea which one. Can't wait to find out more!
I know the kids in the first pic but I'll let some others guess. I do not recognize the chair or wall paper though.
Angela's response is right. Jason and Uncle Ralph completed the race and we were all proud of their effort.
I am indeed the girl on the left of the float. The parade was the Gridley Centennial parade in 1956 - I was between 7th and 8th grade. The dress one that Aunt Mary had made many years earlier for herself. I've always wished I could've kept them.
I don't remember who the other girl is - could be Patty Roth or might be Kathy Quinn or Kay Sommer who was a couple years older and more likely to have worn heels.
I never even looked at the spectators and can't recognize them from the blurred picture. I think most of our family watched from the grain office and this appears to be along a residential street.
I was going to guess my two adorable kids -- Crystal and Aaron in photo one. The parade picture I would have guessed a Homecoming Parade from about 1960. I do have home-movies of the Homecoming Parades of 1960,'61, 62, and 63 with lots of coverage of Ada in the H.S. band and Gloria in Girls Scouts, etc. Keep these gussing photos coming! Very interesting.
Loved all the information on these! And got a good laugh from Gloria's comment! I vaguely remember that the picture of Crystal and Aaron was a Christmas card one year.

I also thought it might have been Gloria right next to Cleve on the right, but she said, "No, I was never that big busted!"

Also meant to say that the shoes - which you can't really see - were my Grandma Klopfenstein's when she was a young woman.
The first picture is Crystal and Aaron. Could it have been at their house in Peoria? I don't recognize the chair either.
I just picked up a phone message from Gloria..."Emergency! The girl in the picture is not Patty Roth...it is Cheryl Roth! Quick! Change it!"
Wish all my emergencies were so easy to fix!
Neither of the Roth girls were in 4-H - so I don't think so, Gloria.

The first pic is indeed Crystal and Aaron in our chair at the Peoria house.
