I always hope I'll unexpectedly see someone I know in an airport. Have you?

We Saw Mike!
Joey and I were in Taiwan last week. In our hotel room on Wednesday evening, we were watching the news and a report about nuclear power plants came on. They showed the one at which Mike works. "Joey - that's where Mike works!" The cameraman panned the room after filming the Senator. "Mary - that's Mike right there!" His back was to us, but we're sure those broad shoulders were our brother-in-law's. So wasn't that something - to be sitting in a hotel room thousands of miles away and see someone you know.

Mary and Joey saw Mike half way around the world and those of us here missed him! We watched every newscast we could and repeatedly saw Senator Jim DeMent touring the Oconee Nuclear Plant. We saw the control room with lots of people milling about (Mike said all kinds of news media were there), but never saw Mike! A friend here said she also saw him so we guess Mike was actually on TV!
Well, we didn't see Mike :(. But we have commented a few times that it would be interesting to hear Mike's perspective on that whole nuclear problem. Such tragedies all over certainly make one very thoughtful and prayerful.
I searched Fox News for the video but the text article was there but no viedo. I also looked at video from the Greenville/Spartanburg local stations, but I never could pick out Mike.
One time flying Peoria to Greenville for spring break a PCS student was on the same flight to Chicago, but I've never seen anyone I knew in another airport. I've also never been a flight with a celebrity.
I saw my old high school English teacher, who lives in LA now, in OHare. I also have seen Gary Coleman (in Atlanta) and Nick Nolty (in LA) in airports. Have had many other chance "run-ins" ~ tis a small world!!
One time, flying from Birmingham AL to Bloomington IL (through Detroit) I thought I recognized the person sitting in the seat beside me, but I couldn't place him. We both fell asleep before we hit the runway out of Detroit and awoke as we were descending into Bloomington. We started a brief conversation and it turned out he worked at MMNA when I worked at BSC and we had a few meetings together. However, the most interesting part was that his best friend had moved from Bloomington to Tuscaloosa and was working for me at the time as a contract employee.
When I'm traveling I'm always looking for people I know and often I see folks with whom I've done business over the years. We usually wave or say hello. Sometimes we have a little small talk. The Automotive world is small and people keep moving around.
