Nick Overseas
Just read on Linda's FB that Nick left for Afghanistan today for a year. Melissa also wrote about it - he is a helicopter pilot. That was news to me - so thought it might be to some of you also. He will be in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you to Nick for helping to protect us and our country!

I'm glad you filled us in, Ann! I will surely be hoping for the best for him and praying for his safe return.
Return email from Linda about posting this: Thank you so much. I am proud of Nick but the Mom part of me does not want him in any combat zone or near danger (exactly where he is). As Karla, Nick's wife, puts it, each day over is a day closer to Nick coming home. Thank you for posting.
Cousin Linda
Add Nathan (Nick's son) to your prayer list when you pray for Nick. He was such a sweet little fellow at Ruth's (his great grandmother) funeral and it was obvious how attached he was to his daddy. Linda told me earlier that he would be going back to live with his mother, so that will be an adjustment for Nathan as well as for the rest of the family.
