18 years

Well, I've been silent for a while on the blog. I didn't have easy Internet access for while and then we've been busy getting settled here in the new house. However, today Retta and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary so we have been taking it easy together today. Our day started off with Retta not feeling well and having to stay home from church. When the kids and I got home, she was feeling some better, so Retta and I packed up and went to Effingham to return some things to Menards, take in a romantic movie (Letters to Juliet) and eat dinner at Ryan's together. (thanks Mom!) We had a great time relaxing together, talking about the future and reminiscing about the past years together. We've had a lot of good years and some, not so much, but God has led us through each and every one of them and I look forward to many more years to come. EDK

Awww - what a sweet picture. Congratulations to you on your 18 years together and we hope you have many more.

We've enjoyed following your house-sale/nonsale trauma on facebook and pray that all will work out well for you soon. As my dad taught me: All things work together for good to them that love the Lord.

Congratulations on 18 years - an honourable milestone, particularly in today's society! And yes, it was a very nice picture.

What has happened with your house sale? I take it that it has fallen through?

You have been a good example of true love and trust in God. And it's good to have you closer to home!
