Text from Mary:
He's in recovery. Doing fine. We're in the room with him, and he should be here (recovery) 45 minutes. They will stand him up 2day if possible. Released on Friday. Dr was very pleased.
Thanks for praying for Dad.
The good news is that a graduate of LCCS is the charge nurse and will be looking out for Dad's good and even best.

WOW! You posted at 10:18 and my clock says 10:04 - no wonder I'm a little behind this morning. So glad everything is going well - I know it's a relief for you just to hear that he's in recovery. Did you have a chart on the wall that allowed you to follow the various stages he was in?
Well, I posted on eastern time and the blog may be on that time too.
I kept up with Mary's text messages. I know she knew when the implant was in and they were starting to close, but I'm not sure how they kept up with that.
I got home a little while ago. Dad is doing well. We had a bit of a scare when his blood pressure dropped very low very suddenly, but 4 nurses were working on him and he recovered and is doing fine. The surgeon was very pleased. They said the pain meds can do that and it's not uncommon for it to happen.
While in surgery, the nurse called periodically to let us know how it was going. We're very thankful he's doing so well. Thank you for your prayers!
