Cleve & Kathleen Christmas

Last but not least, here's a few pics of our small family gathering after Christmas in Peoria. Arriving from Indianapolis where they had no snow, the 2 older grandboys were excited about sledding down our long and steep back yard hill. etc. The 3rd boy (Cooper) was more interested in the refrigerator contents than in presents or sledding. The wall-picture was a gift from Aaron & Crystal to us (study it over!). We've enjoyed all of your great Christmas pictures. Happy New Year to all !!!!!!!!!

It took me a minute, but finally saw the message behind the picture. Very nice...I assume it wasn't an "on the shelf item". EDK

Great pictures - glad to see you can still keep up with the grandchildren out in that cold weather! I studied and studied the picture, but Jerry is the one who figured it out. I love it.

Looks like you were having fun in the snow. Thanks for sharing.
Keith figured out the picture fairly quick. Ada. we sure have smart husbands don't we!
We just got home from a New Years Eve party. Happy New Year everyone.

Yup, the men are definitely smarter (in this case!). Lynn figured it out quickly after I couldn't. Is this a foreshadowing of the year ahead?

Joking aside--my heart goes out to Charlene. In her sad condition, she would undoubtedly gladly swap for a hip replacement. And incidentally, after a few non-hip related blips, Lynn is doing much better and showing consistent improvement.

Also enjoyed Cleve's Christmas pics. Cutest was the little fellow with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar.

Interesting comments about the picture gift. It seems odd that the KLOP men were the ones to readily "get it". The picture gift was made by a local Peoria native who is becoming somewhat famous for photographing "letters" from natural items. She then customizes personalized framed pictures of words (family names or whatever)and sells them -- including to several Hollywood celebrities such as Tom Hanks and others. Her business is growing fast.
Yep, we did keep up with the grandkids sledding. Our backyard is steep, however, and I had to come into the house to recuperate after ditching the sled at about 20 miles per hour and my body continuing INTO the creek bed. Shallow, running water, no injuries -- only got WET.

Loved the photos and have to admit that since I'm always drawn to books, I was trying to read the name of the book on the stand in the living room.

I really enjoyed reading ALL of the Christmas posts!

Mary,
You are very observant! The book was given to Aaron, per his request:
