I just got home from the hospital. When I left he was walking in the hall with a CNA. He likes to walk 2 or 3 times a day. When I got there this morning he was sitting up in the chair and ate his breakfast and lunch. He took a nap after lunch and then got up for supper. He is in very good spirits, but is ready to come home. He does not have a good appetite. They are still giving him antibiotics IV. There was so much infection from the gall bladder. He has some other stomach and bowel problems but we hope it will clear up soon.
This evening when the therapist came in to give him a breathing treatment she visited with us for a little while. When she left she said "I can sure tell that you two are in love".
Thanks for the prayers. He still needs them.

Thanks so much for the update, Alice! Elizabeth had just emailed us inquiring about him. So I copied and pasted your update on an email back to her. We will continue to pray for him.
Very glad to hear of the steady improvement. Hope he will soon be home where he will then have his own 24/7 nurse!
We're also glad to hear that he's feeling so much better. And that you can get home a little earlier in order to rest up for another at the hospital.
