Perry's family in Wisconsin Dells

Per Angela's request--- our most exciting summer event was our family get-together in Wisconsin. All 23 of us were present for three nights and some of us stayed a fourth. Our niece, Brianna, and her family joined us for a picnic lunch one day. For those of you who know Brianna, she and her husband, Brent, have 5 children and the oldest are 4 yr. old twins. My favorite part of our time together was in the late evening when we would all be together and sing while Perry II played the guitar. One of our "theme" songs this year was "Day by Day"---I especially love the melody to that song. In the above photo on the left are: Andrew, Anna and Ellie. In the other photo are: Brandon, baby Jesse, Preston, Perry, Maria, Charity and Brianna. Each summer, Brandon and Maria plan out family get-together and they do a wonderful job! It all started years ago when we would "borrow" Cleve's cabin for a couple days, but we soon out grew that.

Now Perry is back at work every day (even Saturday) and Preston and I help too. It is a busy time at our store with teachers coming in and shopping for back to school. We are thankful when we are busy!

Love, Carol

This is great! I did not know you all went on an annual trip like this. Our family does something similar, and it is so fun, isn't it? It is great to see the pics of the family too. I can't imagine what it's like with 5 kids ages 4 and under. I feel like one under 4 makes me crazy!

If I lived closer I'd patronize your business for all the necessary "stuff."

Did you have cabins on a lake, or a motel? What a great trip.

In answer to Ann's question, we stayed at a nice resort near Wisconsin Dells. There were two 3bedroom spacious units next door to each other that accomodated everybody except Perry, Preston & I. We stayed in a very nice two bedroom "cabin" about 1 mile away. We made one of the bigger units our headquarters where we had our breakfasts and suppers together. There was a full kitchen and Brandon and Maria planned the meals. Lunch was "unplanned", but they had food available to make sandwiches, etc.
