I believe the weathermen hit the target pretty well last night. As I did my late-night email, blog check, and game-playing, I could hear the ice steadily hitting the window. This morning I awoke and looked out the dining room window to see the branches of our beautiful birch tree hanging to the ground.

Our tree branches are also hanging down and some have broken off. There is a lot of ice on the wires too, so we are praying that our electricity won't go out.
Keith just went out to see if he could get the doors open in the car. He just yelled in that he got the car scraped off and he is off to Restmor!
Ann, the last thing I yelled at him was "Be careful".
If I had my camera I'd send pictures from here. We are getting pounded with over a foot of snow since we are on the north edge of the storm that went through central IL. I made it to work, but I couldn't get out of the parking lot for a holiday luncheon I was going to. As of now, I'm stuck at work until they plow the parking lot or my friends come to get me since they have 4-wheel drive.
unseasonably warm and humid here in Mid-Alabama. We actually have the Air Conditioning running to dehumdify the house right now. I drove home from work with the window rolled down about 3:30 today. EDK
