That Basement Room

All the comments on that room in the basement have been most interesting. Apparently, it enjoyed a certain focus if not so much then, knowingly, it does at this later date! Isn't it simply wonderful to reflect on days of yore? That's why I wish we'd all do a better job of journaling. Our legacy could be quite helpful to the family heritage.

I remember the old man's face in the window that Eric was talking about. That was when Grandma and Grandpa still lived there. I think it was a picture of an old man sticking his tongue out. There were little curtains covering the window and Uncle David would fling them open very dramatically to reveal the face and we(I) would scream.

Maybe they didn't use the room as an actual bedroom, but it was definitely a hangout room. Didn't they have guitars in there? All I know is that there was a pool table down there, and I used to try to catch a glimpse in the boy's room on my way by, but didn't dare want them to see me!
