The picture is at the 2001 EJK reunion in Decatur Alabama at the Cook's Pest Control party room. Ralph's family is singing their "family song", "Will the Circle Be Unbroken". I believe that was the "grand finale" of the program!
Jerry says he's sure that's where this is because he remembers wearing that shirt to that dinner.
I'll agree with Ada about the EJK family reunion, but I will suggest a different year. It was Memorial Day, 1998. This was the Saturday night dinner. I didn't remember about Ralph's family singing though.
Matthew Endress was just a few weeks old at the time.
Well Rhoda - your dad will have to settle the disagreement. I don't think we were ever there on a Memorial day. Soooo . . . Lynnie Boy?????? You might want to let a few others guess before giving away the secret.
Seems like this reunion occurred before I was married, so 1998 sounds like the correct date. It was held in the our company's conference building and many enjoyed the natural science museum across the street. Nice memory!
Mim's recollection: John Michael was about a year old and he is now eleven. I recall Elizaberth coming with a baby a few weeks old--Matthew, now ten. So the year had to be 1998.
The event was planned specifically so folks could go home on Monday. Perry's left on Sunday morning and I think that Ada, Jerry, Heather, and Kelsie left on Sunday afternoon. The rest came here on Sunday evening and we had an informal time of fellowship--kids on the front porch and adults in the house mostly. That event is a happy memory for us.
Sounds like we're talking about the same event, guess I just got the date wrong so I'll concede. Sure didn't think there was that much time lapse between the reunion that we hosted in 2003 and the one Lynn had in Alabama.
I remember going to this and singing songs the entire way there and back. Heather and I also tried to to learn someone's horses names. Who's horses were these and what were the names?
