Since we're posting prom pictures, I thought I would share a picture of me and Tim at our recent "prom" night. Actually, we celebrated our 30th (!) anniversary with a Carribean cruise. We decided to dress up (I'm wearing one of Staci's old prom dresses) and go in style for the formal night, so here we are!!! My girls said the only thing missing is a wrist corsage and boutinniere. I never wear my hair this way, so they hardly recognized me. They say we're having a mid-life crisis and we answer, we agree, and we're loving every minute of it!Love to all,

At first I wondered who Tim was with. I thought it might be from years ago, but he didn't look like a teen-ager! It is a very sweet picture and thank you for sharing.
It must be our generation, but I can't interest my sweet husband on a cruise either. Although as I remember, Ada and Jerry went cruising some where along the line

Is anyone else impressed that she can wear her daughter's prom dress!?! I am! Glad you enjoyed your cruise. I hear they're really fun, but I could never cruise due to my fear of boats. Anyone else have a fear of boats - specifically the bottoms of boats? I'm weird, I know.

It is a little scary to commit to taking a cruise. We had heard a few horror stories. Fortunately we were blessed with calm waters and beautiful weather. We were surprised that most of the passengers were between the ages of 60 and 80. There is much to do, both on land and on the ship. It is a good way to see several locations without worrying about the logistics. (The Caribbean is sooo beautiful!) On the ship they have tours, demonstrations, classes - there is a spa, fitness center, beauty shop, stores, cinema, live shows, bingo, a casino, several restaurants, midnight buffets, etc. Something for everyone. And, of course, the 5-course gourmet dinners every evening. You meet people from all over the world. You can mingle or be as independent as you want. The service is unbelievable.

Kathleen and I agree with everything Cathy said about cruises -- they are a fun and easy way to travel in so many ways.
We've also experienced a special type of cruise, our favorite -- a "Singing at Sea" Cruise by Templeton Tours which features all established Southern Gospel quartets and groups as the daily and nightly entertainment. The ship literally closes down the casinos and serves no alcohol beverages whatsoever. Thus, the people on board are Christian oriented and much is in common with each other. Chec it out!
