1, 2, and 3 may be right. However, I think the couch is at a slight angle with the west wall window drape on the left. Analysis based on the wall paper: Note that the pattern is wider on the left and more narrow to the right. I think the extreme northwest corner of the room is to right rear of the sofa. The sofa would be at an angle. Moreover, I remember, I think, it to be in that position.
My Dad simply always wore a long sleeved shirt and almost always white. Never colored but maybe a thin stripe. I never saw him in a short sleeved shirt or sport shirt.
