CUBS WIN WORLD SERIES

All the way from Morton, Il to Bloomington Il to Gridley, Il to Anderson, SC, to  Atlanta , Ga to Little, Elm Tx,  Klop fans watched as the Chicago Cubs won the 2016 World Series.  Jay and Ralph would have been thrilled to see the Cubs victory.  An added feature was that Ben Zorbist, Eureka native won the MVP.

An added benefit is that is was great to have some relief from the stress of the ugly political scene that we are face to hear/see daily.  As excited as Jay and Ralph would be to see the Cubs W, they would also be stressed over the 2016 election.  Nov 8 is coming soon.....Go into the booth...hold your nose and vote!!

2016 will be a memorable year....Cubs won world series and the Presidential election that has make profanity and vulgarity household words.

I agree. I enjoyed the game and just watching the players and fans from each team showing their elation or dejection from one play to the next was entertaining. It's too bad we can't be as celebratory over the upcoming election, but we must make a choice and vote. Dad would have been interested in both contests, for sure!

I too agree!! What a great night!! I also thought about Jay and Ralph and how much they would have loved this.

Hold your nose and vote!

Wow, some of you were up very late (on the East Time Zone) Line one should include Peoria also! Cubs are truly the Cinderella team and have won several "late-inning comeback" games this year which I, at the time, called "the game of all games". One, and only one, negative observation: they need to run fast even when they "think" they've hit a home run...and then jog and enjoy it AFTER it's over the wall. Great talent, however, at every position!

What a series. Family got together in Anderson for at least two games, and I really wished I could have been with them. It's not as much fun watching games when you are the only one in the house really excited about it. At the rain delay I decided to go upstairs to bed.
I thought about Uncle Jay, Aunt Ruth, and Uncle Ralph as well and how excited they would be.
How long do I keep the Go, Cubs, Go! ringtone?
