The interesting Pantagraph article shows the picture which appears to me to have been taken looking Northwest from about where the old K-Grain office was. In the far horizon one can see a barn which looks like Lucille Heiserodt's old horse barn in her alley. Just a guess. Thanks for posting.
I kinda wondered if any of those men in the photo were our grandpas. Also interesting how different the appearance of the men in those days is compared to men of today. And no women around!

Dad, this is interesting. Are any of those familiar names--obviously they would be very old when you or your siblings would be very young?
