The history of this worldwide marathon is an intrigue. I'm not into running and/or the history of marathons; however, I happened upon this Comrades Marathon recently and find the details very interesting. Actually, I'd love to do an Ultra some day. My next big goal is to do the Disney Goofy, either next January or the year after. They have a half marathon on Saturday, for which you earn a Donald Duck medal, a full marathon on Sunday, for which you earn a Mickey Mouse medal, and if you do the half and the full in the same weekend you earn an additional Goofy medal. You have to be a little Goofy to do 39.3 in one weekend.
I also want to do a sprint-distance triathlon, just to see if I can.
Goofy might not be the fitting word, Jen! Are you CRAZY??
