This isn't quite what NogBlog asked for re family sayings, but it is similar.
For years and years when Lynn was asked what he wanted at a gifting time, the answer was always SOLAC. Anyone in the LCK family knows that SOLAC is an achronym for "Spirit of love and cooperation." Mark's response as a boy was, "But, dad, we'd rather give you a present."

I remember the first time Mark said that. It was one of the few times Dad was speechless.
