Well, I'm on the way to the airport, heading to Japan. Always nerve racking wondering what I forgot. Today it was cash. What have you forgotten on a trip?
I don't typically forget things, but one Christmas I had a typical flight which means I missed a connection, luggage went one place, I got re-routed to another, etc. Joey, Mary and family picked me up in Chattanooga and headed to Atlanta for our family Christmas that night. Needless to say I had no presents for everyone else which was an odd feeling.
The benefit was that after Mark, Dad, and I retrieved the luggage on Christmas Eve I was able to give each family their gifts individually which was nicer than the mass chaos gift opening often is.
I forgot the pillow, sippy cup, shoes and pink watch that was left by Endress' when they were here in May. I forgot 3 loaves of bread. These were some of the things I was planning to take to Rend Lake. Whenever I leave to go anywhere for a few days, I always seem to have that dreaded feeling--"What am I forgetting?" We often are glad that a Walmart is usually not too hard to find.
Ada, you're too young too forget what you forgot!!
Our biggest consternation is "Did we close the garage door?" Once we turned around when we got to the interstate from our Decatur home to check. The garage door was closed, but we'd have been miserable not knowing for the several days we were gone from home.
Twice we have forgotten our "hang-up clothes" when we've gone for a week-end. Once in Chicago for a weekend, and once in Indianapolis for a wedding. Both times we hit the local Goodwill store and Dave got some of his best suits on those weekends! I went to Kohl's and found something to wear. Both times it's been "the other person's fault."
