House Pics

Well Aunt Ada asked so here are a few pictures of the new house. I just realized I never took a picture of the living room as I was expecting to take a picture of Mom and Dad in there. You'll notice there is more work to do such as emptying some more boxes, putting up wall hangings, and hanging window coverings.

Dad in his office.
Dining room waiting for furniture. Rug will go when the furniture comes.

View to kitchen from dining room. Notice curtain rod in the corner. And then a view from the master bedroom into the kitchen.

Picture above is from living room through screened porch overlooking a large deck. Below is front of the house.

The only thing they really need now are guests and a volunteer to wash the dormer windows!

Everything is BEAUTIFUL. How about that big office, Lynn? don't get lost in there. Sure hope we can get down there to see it sometime. Enjoy yourselves and take your time in unpacking things.

Your house is very very nice. Wish we could have one just like it, only here in Morton. It looks very homey. Thanks Rhoda for showing us the pictures.

I agree, looks very nice. I can see there are some beautiful trees in the neighborhood, as you can see the reflection of the pretty fall colors in the front door. Nice picture of the home-owners, too!

Thank you for your nice comments. Yes, we are here and slowly getting the boxes unpacked. We really like the house and once we get a living sofa and dining room furniture, we will feel settled. Brought way too much "stuff" that should have stayed in Decatur. We didn't have a yard sale as our girls said a yard sale is too much work with minimal return--just give to charity and get a tax rebate. We unloaded a lot in Decatur but much more to go to Haven of Rest here. Much was accumulated (and hung on to) in forty-one years. Of course you are all welcome to visit; you will NOT be expected to clean the fake dormer windows. On my thirty minute walk this afternoon, I noted one home still had the original papers attached to their dormer windows so ours look pretty good.
