Questions

--How are all the sick by this weekend? Staci? Retta? Dad? Jerry - is it true that we no longer classify you in this division?

--How are the college kids doing? Mine seem to be doing OK - don't hear much from them.(other than Andrew calling to say he got a traffic ticket this morning. . .)

--Aunt Catherine - we haven't heard much from you lately. Are you still playing the bells? How else are you keeping busy? And what about your commercial - is it on the air?

--Jodie - have you gotten moved or are you still living in the extended-stay?

--Gloria - did you figure out how to edit and if so can we hear from you?

--Shelley - Any more escapades with animals? Or are the escapades with the boys entertainment enough?!

--And everybody else: Have you taken any late-summer vacations? Anything of interest going on?

Kelsie is doing good at JU. She's gotten homesick a few times, but just this week she "rushed" and is now in a sorority. I don't think she'll be bored or lonely anymore! I'll post more about this when I know more. It has all just materialized today.

Staci went home Thursday evening, but returned to the hospital by Friday noon. She was having some visual problems for one thing, so she was readmitted. Usually a clot in the lung has traveled there from another location, so they did an MRI of her head. Last I talked to her, they were still waiting for the results. They also need to get her Coumadin up to a therapeutic level and have a pain management plan in place before sending her home again. We have learned that there is a genetic blood clot disorder on the Bauer side of the family, although they are not able to do testing at this time for Staci since her blood is medicated. Tim has had 2 female cousins have sudden deaths in their twenties from pulmonary embolisms. So we are very relieved they found this.

Amy is back at ISU for her last semester. She is doing an internship at Bloomington High School for speech pathology. She is also working on her master's thesis. She'll be very happy to be done in December.
