A quick guessing contest: Who are the 2 people in this picture and approximate year?
Clue: We all know one of the 2, most of us know both. (A certain person/family is not eligible to participate...you people know who you are. Let's leave this up to the others for a few days). My first guess is Mim and her brother Chuck, though I don't know where you would have gotten such a picture. I also have a second guess, but I'll wait on that for awhile.
I have to decline to guess as I have seen the picture recently. Love the old pictures!
I thought I had seen the picture before too, but looked down through the blog and couldn't find it, so not sure what I'm thinking of.
To avoid further confusion, I shall reveal that the 2 people are Aunt Mim and her brother -- Peoria's Chuck Hemmer. The year was approximately 1936. Judy and Angela saw the picture recently from Ann's personal Blog from which I took the picture (with permission). Chuck and Mim were fatherless at that time since their father was tragically killed in a welding explosion about 7 or 8years before the picture was taken! Many don't know that. Perhaps Aunt Mim can explain it more thoroughly, if she wishes. We think Chuck still looks exactly like that picture, but we would never have recognized Aunt Mim!!!
I think Aunt Mim looks a lot like Rhoda, or what I remember Rhoda looking like at that age. I did not know the father died when they were so young.
