Jerry wanted to take my picture with the guy in the beads - he'd been dancing around, taking pictures with people, etc. - but I didn't want to pay him, so just snuck in as someone else was taking a picture.

Here we are watching a wedding party dance to a band before they all took off dancing around the square following the band. Fun, huh? We actually saw three wedding celebrations - two in the park and two came out of the church and celebrated.

Later in the evening, we went to Bourbon Street and found a reasonably quiet restaurant where I had a delicious BBQ Chicken/Rice dinner and Jerry had a Burger. Bourbon Street was beyond interesting - a place where "anything goes" - but we will not go again. Once is enough . . .

I was in NO about 3 days after Mardi Gras. There was still plenty of evidence of what had gone on. The group I was with enjoyed the variety of shopping and eating.
