I took a photo of a painting my Dad (Stan) did of PA Klopfenstein awhile back. What do you think? He's been painting off and on... all kinds of things -- from abstract art to portraits like this.
I am impressed with all the artistic talent. Does it come from the Klopfensteins, the Slagells, or both? Anymore of you out there with talents we have yet to uncover?
I don't know where the artistic talent comes from, but all of my siblings have some of it, and some of them have great talent. Me?? Not so much. When Shelley was little she asked me to draw a cat for her. I did. She said, "I said a CAT!" I said, "I did!" She nearly cried, "But where's his tail?!" I said, "That's my cat. I can't help it." I did not get the drawing gene.
I immediately recognized him from the same photo that is in this link: http://ejklopfensteinfamily.blogspot.com/2008/05/great-grandparents.html
ReplyDeleteI think he did really, really well!!!
People do not realize that Stan has much artistic ability and I know you'd be surprised if you would see some of his work.

ReplyDeleteI never got to know EJK but what a good likeness to photos. Wish I had one little bit of Stan's talent!
